Knowledge about various careers, qualifications needed, job practicalities, etc, which was difficult to obtain earlier, is now comparatively easy as it is available on internet and magazines. A deliberate net surfing will provide you relevant information. Another way is meeting with elders, acquaintances, relatives, who are set in jobs for obtaining first hand information about their careers. Analysis of your personality traits, likes/dislikes, environment that you think you enjoy, etc is important. Take help of your parents, teachers and good friends for this. Ask them to tell you frankly about yourself as they see.
